In our school, we learn to speak Mandarin Chinese, the national language of China. We converse in Chinese to learn our names, our ages, and how to express our likes and dislikes regarding various topics of interest. We also make traditional Chinese crafts such as lanterns and many more projects planned throughout the school year.
We also learn and practice American Sign Language by practicing one word a day, so that we can use signing to express ourselves and ask for direction in the classroom and hallway without disrupting other students.
At Strong School, we are very excited to have the unique opportunity to converse in multiple languages; English, Spanish, Chinese, and American Sign Language. Language learning is very enriching for our students and opens their minds to limitless opportunities and positive experiences in the global community.
